Synopsis
Option To Purchase (OTP) and Sale and Purchase (S & P) Agreements are the core and main legal instruments that facilitates the transfer of ownership of properties to the relevant parties. This CPD activity highlight the essential elements on both legal documents that estate agents and salespersons must be fully conversant with so that they would be able to explain to their clients the meaning and implications of each and every clause found in these legal instruments. This, in turn, would help their clients make good and appropriate decisions on the sale and purchase transaction. It would also help ensure smooth and successful closure of every sale and purchase transaction of real estate.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, participants will be able to understand & explain the following:

1. The Law Society of Singapore’s Conditions of Sale 2020;

2. Holding of Stakeholder’s money pending legal completion of sale under the Conveyancing (Miscellaneous Amendments) Act (Act 17 of 2011), the Conveyancing and Law of Property Rules 2011 (CLP Rules) and the Singapore Academy of Law (Conveyancing Money) Rules 2011 which were brought into effect on 1 August 2011;

3. Provisions relating to the purchase of residential property by foreign persons under the Residential Property Act

4. Due diligence and compliance with the law and statutory requirements on matters relating to the sale and purchase of the residential property.
Certification
A Certificate of Attendance and 2 Professional CPD Credits will be awarded to participants upon completing the course.

Trainers
Jonathan has more than 15 years of experience in real estate sales and training and understands the skills needed to be a professional and effective real estate salesperson. During workshop training, Jonathan not only focuses on teaching the syllabus but also engages participants in discussion on real estate related issues. He believes through this, it will inspire participant’s curiosity, which will invoke their creativity and cultivate their long-term interest in real estate. Jonathan holds a Diploma in Business Administration.
